Bradford Gaza vigil and speaker event

Hi Bradford Palestine supporter,

Just a reminder about Friday’s vigil (note change of time to 4.30-6) and Sunday’s speaker event:

Bradford campaigners for Palestine are inviting people to join them in a candle-lit vigil to raise awareness of the ongoing siege of Gaza. The event will be held on January 20th between 4.30-6pm at the bottom of Sunbridge Road, next to Centenary Square. The siege of Gaza has been declared as a violation of the Fourth Geneva Convention by the International Committee of the Red Cross.

An eyewitness account of the difficulties that Palestinians face under the occupation will be delivered by Heather Stroud from York on Sunday 22nd January 5-7pm at the Karmand Community Centre (Barkerend Road, next to St. Martin’s Church). Heather has been to Palestine several times and stayed for three months working with traumatised children amongst other humanitarian projects.

The events are free and open to all.

Please come and show your support.

Peace in 2012
Kate
