Alain Badiou: a life in writing | Culture | The Guardian

Love, says Frances greatest living philosopher, “is not a contract between two narcissists. Its more than that. Its a construction that compels the participants to go beyond narcissism. In order that love lasts one has to reinvent oneself.”

via Alain Badiou: a life in writing | Culture | The Guardian.

I must confess I had never read Badiou before seeing this article. I threw my hat over the roof (metaphorically) shouting YES! At last someone who sees the connection between love and politics as I do. I have sent the link to my (occasional) girlfriend. Like me, she has more than one love in her life.
