I interviewed Williamson for Melody Maker when he got back from Israel, where he’d had a bit of a run-in with Bob Dylan who was staying at the same hotel and complained about Nicol’s all-night noisy carousing. “I got the impression Dylan was a bit of a tight-arse,” he told me. I went up to Stratford to meet him, where he was in the Scotch play.
